Stainless steel round bars in a range of diameters and grades, for machining, fasteners and general engineering.

Medallion Steels supplies the common austenitic grades — 304, 304L, 316, 316L, 316Ti and 310 — along with martensitic grades 410, 420 and 431 where higher hardness is required. Grade availability varies by product and section size, so confirm with our sales team when enquiring.
Yes. Standard hexagon bar runs from 8mm to 75mm across flats, and sizes outside that range are produced to order. Bright-drawn hexagon bar is held to h11 tolerance as standard, with closer tolerances available on request.
A billet is a semi-finished product — a cast square or rectangular section intended for further hot working. A round bar is a finished product, rolled or drawn to a specified diameter and finish, ready for machining or fabrication. Buyers purchasing billets are typically re-rollers or forges; buyers purchasing round bar are usually machine shops and fabricators.
Every consignment is despatched with a mill test certificate confirming chemical composition and mechanical properties, traceable to the heat number. Stainless steel scrap is verified by positive material identification before despatch.
